OUR DIRECTOR

Sumera Naveed

Curator, Mohatta Palace Museum

Sumera brings over two decades of strategic leadership spanning across Pakistan, the UK and the Middle East. Her varied career, anchored by a deep commitment to conserve our cultural heritage has equipped her with the foresight and operational acumen essential to positioning Mohatta Palace Museum as a vibrant and inclusive cultural hub.

Her journey with Mohatta Palace began in 2002 as Administrator, where she managed core museum operations and supported curators in realising their artistic vision. This early experience laid a strong foundation in cultural preservation and the nuanced workings of museum governance. Her subsequent roles at the UK Department for Business and Trade and at GSK Pakistan involved high-level coordination with senior stakeholders, strategic analysis and the implementation of complex engagement strategies further sharpening her ability to navigate institutional dynamics and lead with clarity, purpose and cultural sensitivity.

We welcome Sumera to lead Mohatta Palace Museum into its next chapter where tradition meets innovation and every visitor feels welcomed, inspired and connected.
